ICU (GLOBAL) who offer a bespoke teleconferencing service report fast growth in the videoconferencing revolution since 9/11. Catching a plane is no longer the only way to get a face to face meeting.

"September 11th changed the world," reports ICU(GLOBAL) MD Stephen Mackenzie, "and it stopped a lot of businessmen from catching planes. They have taken advantage of a safe and less tiring alternative, which is videoconferencing. This is why video conferencing is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. According to an MRG survey the average revenue on videoconferencing will go from over $500 million in 2004 to some $8 billion by 2008 in Asia, Europe, North America and other markets."

ICU(GLOBAL) was set up two years ago, after they found a gap in the market for service driven hiring and purchasing facilities. "Up until then the large manufacturers were charging very high rates. We were able to make dramatic cuts in overheads, by finding facilities for both large and small firms at the right budget. This can mean hiring teleconferencing for a day or purchasing a whole site."

Sony, Tandberg, Polycom, Smart Technologies, and Aethra are some of the manufacturers whose products ICU(GLOBAL) offer. They also offer a specialist service to universities, banks, health organisations and law firms.

They have teamed up with a worldwide leading company in networking to launch a new patented product to revolutionise global teleconferencing connections over Internet Protocol (IP). The trials are taking place this month.
